On Saturday March 27, 2021, LAU participated in Earth Hour for the 6th consecutive year.

It is high time, now more than ever, that the Lebanese considered reducing energy consumption and implementing more sustainable energy systems that can help overcome our crisis, boost our economy and protect the environment.

LAU switched off all unnecessary lights on both campuses on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Community members expressed their solidarity with the Planet Earth by:
- Switching off unnecessary lights and appliances at home from 8:30 till 9:30 PM
- Watching and sharing videos ought to change the way you see our planet, and our place within it

Ahead of the world leaders’ COP 26 conference, crucial decisions will be made for the next decade and beyond on climate action, nature and sustainable development.
