Facilities Management is committed to integrating sustainability into LAU’s culture and to transforming the university campuses into Sustainability Landmarks.

By adopting a partnership-based approach with our students, faculty and staff, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our operations, minimize our use of natural resources, lower our operating costs, and encourage environmentally responsible behavior within our community.

We have set out an ambitious sustainability plan inspired by LAU’s Strategic Plan and founded on a set of six Green Pillars:

• Recycling and Waste Management
• Sustainable Purchasing

Our Sustainability Plan (PDF - 0.4MB) includes balanced initiatives that are beneficial to the environment, socially acceptable, and economically profitable. We are implementing them by raising awareness on the one hand and by leading the execution process on the other.
